Spyros showed us the way...
The previous weekend, we sat together with a wonderful person and we are proud of him as Olympiacos B.C. and we are positive that in a few years we will be talking about a great athlete. We are talking about Spyros Kavvadas.
10-year-old Spyros has been battling to stay alive for almost 2 years now. His dream was to meet Vassilis Spanoulis. The least we could do as Olympiakos B.C, always in cooperation with "Make a Wish" Foundation, was to make Spyros's dream come true.
On Saturday morning, Spyros met his role model in person, had practice with him and with the rest of the team and after practice had finished, he heard head coach Giannis Sfairopoulos announcing that he would be in the team's roster for the oncoming game against AENK.
So on Sunday, at the Championship game against AENK, Spyros was included in the team's roster, he was the first to get in the court during the presentation of the team, he sat on the bench, watched the game and after the end of it, he was the one who gave the signal at the center of the court. But the cause was not for his teammates to shout "Olympiakos" as it is used after each game, but to send his own message, that "In this life, we can accomplish everything".
Thank you, Spyros...
