A legend gone

Dimitris Douratos, member of the Olympiacos golden team that won the Greek Championship in 1960 and gave the first European trophy in the history of the club against Galatasaray in Istanbul, passed away today at the age of 83.

The physician – pathologist and veteran athlete of the Club will be joining the unforgettable Giannis Spanoudakis and Giannis Meimaris with who he was team mates bearing the laureled teen age boy on the chest.

Olympiacos BC would like to extend its warmest condolences to the family of yet another Legend of our ‘Thylos’ that left us, whose name will always be engraved in the golden pages of the history book of our Olympiacos.
