We need to play smart"

Olympiacos visits Darusafaka on Friday (2/12, 18:00 CET) for the tenth day of the Euroleague RS and Giannis Sfairopoulos and Matt Lojeski discussed the game against the Turkish team.

Giannis Sfairopoulos: "It's only certain that the way the schedule with this season's Euroleague is, you don't have time to think whether you lost or won the previous game, you only think about the game ahead of you. We have prepared to play a difficult game. Darusafak is a good team, but I don't know if we can call this a surprise, the way they built their roster in the summer and considering their budget. They are an athletic team that has many good scorers, we need to remain focused in our defensive duties, stop our opponent and attack through our defense, move the ball well, play as a team and play smart to take the game where we want it to go. They have four big players apart from Erden and Savas, they have a strong front line, we cannot say that they lack big men. They are a complete team, we have to play a smart game".

On his part, Matt Lojeski stressed that "we have learned from losing our home game against Maccabi. We are ready; we need to remain focused in order to win. If we want to win, we also need to play hard in defense, play as a team, and play a good game on both ends of the floor. It's not only Wanamaker, there are many good players, that's why we need to be especially careful".
