10.000 kids at the Peace and Friendship Stadium!
Olympiacos BC announces that in the framework of the Social Responsibility Program that has been running in last 10 years, and in regard to the axis of Sports - Children - Education, this season is the 7th in a row that kids from schools, clubs and institutions are hosted at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.
Specifically, from 2010 until today, Olympiacos BC has hosted during games of our team at the Peace and Friendship Stadium more than 10,000 kids and about 550 schools, clubs, institutions and other organizations involved with children, sports, education and informing on problems and other issues that kids and their families deal with today!
The Commercial Director of OLYMPIACOS BC Mr. Nikos Lepeniotis commented: "We are very happy and mostly proud for this Program since we have had the opportunity to bring close to sports and Olympiacos more than 10,000 kids from schools, institutions and organizations from all over Greece. It is a project began in 2010 and mainly aims at providing kids that lack financial and other means with the opportunity to come to our games, live the stadium atmosphere, get to meet with our players and for us to deliver all appropriate messages about sports, educations, health, proper behavior and a series of other values and ideals that characterize both our organization and sports in general.
The Program, that exclusively funded by Olymnpiacos, has had excellent results and of course it continues even more rigorously. Our goal is to enrich this program with parallel activities and actions in regard to informing kids and their parents on issues that are relevant to them and to combine it with other programs implemented by Olympiacos BC, like the Developmental Program of our Academies, the JR NBA Olympiacos League that will be starting soon, our summer Camps, as well as all other programs implemented by our sponsors like OPAP's kids tribunal etc".
The Social Responsibility Program of Olympiacos BC began during the 2007-08 season and it has been constantly growing, including the areas of battling violence in sporting venues, as well as social, sporting, educational, cultural, environmental and health issues. In this framework, Olympiacos BC has been developing a series of initiatives and actions through which real issues on all above sectors are portrayed and probable as well substantial solutions are promoted. The Social Responsibility Program of Olympiacos BC has been developed in conjunction with corporations and organizations that take initiative in recent years around the issues above and aim to attune the public to them as well as promoting suitable and effective solutions.
