Sfairopoulos: "We have proved we can perform under pressure"
Olympiacos is leaving Tuesday morning (14/11) to Istanbul, where tomorrow (15/11, 18.45 CET) will be facing the European Champion, Fenerbahce for the 7th day of the Euroleague.
"We have a tough mission, because Fenerbahce is the European Champion and plays at home" the 'reds' coach Giannis Sfairopoulos commented and went on to say: "It's not easy to win there. However, we are last season's finalists. We are a team that has proved to be able to cope with difficult situations and it's a first class opportunity to show this with our performance tomorrow".
Asked on whether tomorrow's game is a chance for Olympiacos to return to the path of success, he replied: "It's obvious that the two last Euroleague games that we lost have set us back a little bit and we want to recover beginning with the double games we have ahead".
As for whether there is any particular player Olympiacos will be trying to contain, he stressed: "They are a team that play well together, so we need to face them as a total and not as units. This is because each Fenerbahce player has quality and hurt you on a good day. We are a compact team as well and we need to play as well on both ends of the floor and contain them".
On his part, the Olympiacos center, Nikola Milutinov, stated: "It's certainly a tough game, especially since we play at their home court. Our goal is to play a good game. Olympiacos always plays to win and we are going to try and do the same against Fenerbahce".
