Sfairopoulos: "It will take high levels of concentration"

The Olympiacos’ delegation left Wednesday morning (13/12) to Germany, where tomorrow (14/12) will be playing against Bamberg for the 12th day of the Euroleague.

“Bamberg is a very tough home court” Giannis Sfairopoulos commented. “It’s a tough team with a lot of patience when attacking. They play the same style for years now, regardless of the faces and that makes them really combative. It is a tough court in general, also due to the fans that put a lot of pressure on the opposing team. The most important thing is remain focused. Our levels of focus and readiness should be very high and we need to do what we have planned to get what we want from this game”.

Talking about the … medical report, the ‘reds’ coach said: “Milutinov and Agravanis are not traveling with us. Printezis made a part of last night’s practice and we’ll see how he’s doing tonight. Papapetrou is practicing at full speed and I think he’s going to be OK. About Printezis, we’ll just have to see at the last moment ".

On his part, the Olympiacos guard, Vasilis Toliopoulos, stressed: “The fact that we have never won there gives us huge motivation. We also need to continue with the stretch of victories we have had, remain at the top rank and do all that we have worked on during practice, so as to play a good game. We shall have to begin, just like in all games, from our defense. Be good with all those things the coach has asked from us tactically wise, stop them from passing the ball a lot and remain focused. If we can manage that, I think we are going to have a good result ".

On the presence of the ‘reds’ fans, just like with many other road games this season, he said: “It’s always important in whichever gym you may be, to be able to listen to your fans’ voices. We always need the fans by our side to give us strength and support us. They are definitely going to help us a lot against Bamberg as well and we wish to thank them for being by our side helping us ".
