Wiliams-Goss: "I'm excited" (vid)

Nigel Williams - Goss arrived Wednesday night (11/07) to Greece and during his initial comments he stressed how excited he is for the new chapter in his career.

"It was a great honor that such a great club approached me, immediately following my rookie professional season", the American guard stated and went on: "It means a lot to me to be signing this contract and taking this step, from Partizan to one of the top teams in the history of the Euroleague. It's really important to me and I'm truly excited".

David Blatt's presence in the 'reds' bench played a decisive role in his decision to become a Piraeus resident. "Coach Blatt was the first one to communicate with me from the team and that was the most important piece for my decision. Where I would be going would greatly depend on the coach. Of course his records speak for themselves; just like that he has been an NBA coach. He knows how to manage the American players, but he also takes a European look to the game. He's been doing a great job and as I said before his winning records speak for themselves".

In regard to his ambition, he says it's a high one, just like what the Olympiacos brand mandates… "It's obvious that our goal with Olympiacos is to win championships. No matter which competition we participate, we want to be winning the title. It's not going to be easy; it's going to take hard work from the first day of the pre-season. But here, the obvious goal is winning titles".
