May 18th was a day of social service for Olympiacos BC and bwin, since they acted on their promise for supporting the society through (also) the “bwin Monday Night Game against Covid-19” series.
They originally delivered 30,000 disposable medical face masks to the ELEPAP. The Organization, that has been dynamically active for 84 years now, has consistently remained by the side of children with disabilities, offering them the therapeutic and educational programs that they need.
The Olympiacos players, Kostas Papanikolaou and Vassilis Charalampopoulos, having taken all necessary health measures, went to the ELEPAP facilities and played with the Brave Children at the Prototype Kids Park of the Organization, while they also showed them some of their famous basketball moves! Next, they were updated on therapeutic and educational programs led by the organization, as well as on the adoption program, showing a special interest in learning all the details. Finally, obviously moved, they received the tender drawings the kids made especially for them,
The PPE products were delivered, along with the players, by Mr. Christos Bafes (Sports Director of Olympiacos BC) and Ioanna Beriou (Director of Corporate Communication for bwin), to Ms. Marianna Moschou (President of the ELEPAP Board of Directors).
Bwin has been supporting ELEPAP with multiple initiatives throughout recent years. Jointly with Olympiacos BC, they have committed to continue supporting the Organization with more actions of health interest, since they share the same philosophy in terms of substantial social responsibility and contribution.
On the same day, Olympiacos BC and bwin, delivered two modern led phototherapy apparatuses that treat infant jaundice to the Intensive Care Unit for Infants of the Children’s Hospital “Panagiotis and Aglaea Kyriakou”. This act of love comes in a follow up of the donation of resuscitation devices of controlled pressure for infants (Neopuff), that had taken place a few months ago.
The devices were delivered by our team’s players, Kostas Papanikolaou and Vassilis Charalampopoulos, together with Mr. Christos Bafes (Sports Director of Olympiacos BC), Kimon Sakkopoulos (Marketing – Sponsorship Manager of Olympiacos BC) and Ioanna Beriou (Director of Corporate Communication for bwin), to Ms. Angeliki Nikas (Director of MEN) and the Deputy Director of the Hospital Mr. Stavros Tsantes.
On behalf of the “P. & A. Children’s Hospital”, Ms. Angeliki Nikas stated: “On behalf of the medical and nursing staff of the young patients of the Infant ICU for the Hospital, I would like to thank bwin for the donation of the devices. We thank you from the bottom of our heart for your support in trying to safekeep the health of our children”.
