Bartzokas: "We must find our chemistry"

Giorgos Bartzokas appeared to be satisfied by his players’ performance against Ionikos.

“Congratulations to my players. We played a very serious game coming from a loss against Fenerbahce. We shared minutes and played against Ionikos as we had planned for forty minutes. What we need is to once again find the chemistry we lost due to the coronavirus and due to the time we missed practicing or playing games. In practice, this can only be solved with playing games. So, the Greek League games, as well as the ones coming up are going to verify if we have been working at a good level. We need to remain compact, the upcoming time period is very important for all teams as well as for ours. Postponed Euroleague games are going to burden our schedule a lot with probably back to back double Euroleague game weeks, maybe up to three, plus the ones for the Greek League and we have to be ready to face the challenge”.  

The Ionikos’ coach, Curro Segura, pointed out: “Congratulations to Olympiacos for the win. It was a very difficult game for us. We suffered especially with rebounding, where the opponent dominated completely. We knew that after the loss against Feber, Olympiacos would be coming in really aggressive. They built a big margin from the start. We need to focus on next week’s game and be ready for the crucial upcoming one”.
