Bartzokas: «A win dedicated to the memory of Daes»
Two years ago, on January 24, Antonis Daes left us, but he has left no one’s mind. The same goes for the coach of Olympiacos, Giorgos Bartzokas, who dedicated the win over Kolossos to his memory…
“I would like to dedicate the win to the memory of Antonis Daes, who passed away two years ago tomorrow. He had been an important part of our team and a good friend to everyone and we miss him”.
About the game, the pointed out: “For us, this was a very important and difficult game from the start. We appreciate the way Kolossos has been playing. It was important that we pay extra attention to certain parts of the game. The facilitation by the point guards, Pot and Xathopoulos, is really important. Finally, the two of them together had only four assists, which is a success for us. On the hand though, they also broke our game. We made 21 turnovers. Maybe we had been a little more relaxed following the pressure of the recent days and travelling, but also on the court. It’s very important that we won. Congrats to the guys”.
