Dorsey: «We know what we need to do against Armani» (vid)
Tyler Dorsey spoke about tomorrow’s (24/02, 20:45 CET) game against Armani Milan at the SEF and stood on the fact that from now on Olympiacos is going to have even more fans at the tribunes supporting the team.
“They are a really good team. They have been playing very well lately”, the ‘reds’ guard pointed out and went on to say: “We have delved in the scouting reports, we know how they play. Most of their players are with the League for quite some time now, so we know what we need to be doing. It’s going to be a big win. Each game counts at this particular moment. In February and March everyone is fighting for the playoffs, including us. Just like I said, every game counts and it’s going to be a good game for us. Also, the fact that we are going to be able to play at home with more fans is also going to be important. We need to continue protecting our home court. That’s our goal for the remainder of the season”.
Asked if he thinks that winning the Cup might be a ‘trap’ for him and his team mates, he replied: “No, it’s not one. We know that one or two bad weeks can cost us and derail us from the path to the playoffs. We celebrated the night we won the trophy and we now have to be ready for the Euroleague games and also make a strong finish in the Greek League. There’s no time to rest, but we have celebrated and are happy to have won the trophy”.
Finally, on whether he feels that he’s now back in shape, he said: “I think that Covid has thrown me and the whole team off, however, I don’t want to use that as an excuse. There are ups and downs in every season, so, we fought, we had a hard time, but we showed character and made a come back finding good rhythm at the best moment of the season”.
