Larentzakis: «We are only thinking about the game against Alba»

Olympiacos flew to Berlin, where tomorrow (10/03, 20.00 CET), will be playing against Alba, for the 29th day of the Euroleague.

According to Giannoulis Larentzakis, the ‘reds’ only have the game against the German team in mind and are not thinking about other results. “The goal is tomorrow’s game. We want to go there, be absolutely focused on the game against Alba and win. We don’t want to be making long term plans, neither to be looking too far ahead, nor thinking about how many victories we or our opponents need to be making so as to place as high as possible. We always need to be looking at the next game, nothing else. So, that’s our goal: winning the game against Alba. We have worked really well and want a positive outcome”.

Asked what it is his team needs to do to come back with a win, he replied: “We need to be serious and focused. We have to follow the plan and do all the things we have worked on. I want to believe we are not going to be having a problem.

On whether there is room for improvement, he pointed out: “You get better every day. The important thing, following the bad stretch we have had, is that we have once again found our footing and our rhythm. We are once again playing at the desired level and I think that the more the time passes, we are going to be getting better, because good performances help us build a better psychology. It’s certainly very good to be in the playoffs and contesting for a place in the playoffs”.

Finally, on whether the only thing the ‘reds’ fear is their bad performance and nothing else, he made clear: “The other teams play also, the level is extremely high. I think though that if we remain focused and play according to our plan, all is in our hands”.
