Sloukas: «We are going for the win with the help of our fans»

A few hours following the win in Kaunas, Olympiacos is called to face off with Panathinaikos at the SEF (17/03, 20.00 CET) for the 30th day of the Euroleague.

We are leaving all the other games behind us, including the one against Zalgiris, to focus on a special game against Panathinaikos that is the eternal rival and of course that makes for a special game at all times”, Kostas Sloukas pointed out.
Asked whether tactics is going to be the key for this particular game, he replied: “Tactics always plays a role in a game, but will, determination, clear thinking and decision making play an ever greater one. The home court also plays a role, but we are used that in recent years’ match ups between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos it doesn’t play such a significant one. I think that tomorrow, it’s going to be really important and with the help of our fans we are aiming at one more Euroleague win”.  
Finally, on whether there is fatigue due to the game in Kaunas, he made clear: “It’s hard, but it’s not an excuse. That’s why the Presidents provide with an airplane, chartered flights, which allow us to get back at home immediately after the game and rest. We have one day to rest, we need to take advantage of it and work as much as we have time to do so, because, like I said before, tomorrow’s game is very particular. The Olympiacos-Panathinaikos game is always special”.
