Bartzokas: «We were more serious compared to the first game»

The Olympiacos’ coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, congratulated all those involved with the team advancing to the semis of the Stoiximan Basket League.

“Congratulations to our team. We are now among the four top teams in Greece. We obviously were more serious compared to the first game. Some days have passed between now and the final four and the fact that Peristeri was very good in the previous game forced us to face today’s game with heightened alertness. That resulted in us getting a +30 difference in the first half and then having to simply manage the game without having to exert pressure. The positive thing of today’s atmosphere is that many kids from the Peristeri Academies watched the game from the tribunes. We respect and acknowledge the good work that is being done with the team and their basketball tradition. Also, the fact that some of Peristeri’s youth players got to play the game and got to have adequate minutes against good players is a positive thing for the future. We are now obviously focusing on the series against Promitheas”.
