Bartzokas: «We projected seriousness»

Giorgos Bartzokas appeared to be satisfied by his players’ performance but also certain that Promitheas is going to be reacting in the second game of the semis.

“I don’t know what I’m supposed to be saying after such a game”, the ‘reds’ coach commented. “We projected seriousness. Promitheas seemed to be letting the game go after the difference climbed above 20 points and that’s how the margin blew up that wide and we got to score so many points. It is only certain that we are expecting a much different game on Wednesday. I believe such a huge difference puts a dent on the players’ ego and forces a response”.

Promitheas’ coach, Makis Giatras, pointed out: “Congratulations to Olympiacos for a fantastic game. We, if we take out the first quarter, were simply not on the floor, Olympiacos was doing anything they wanted to. They had amazing percentages with twos and threes. Of course, they were alone. Even if we let them alone and had all our five players off the floor, they wouldn’t be shooting that good. It was as if we weren’t even there. We did nothing. I think we can present ourselves better. We have some issues to manage and I hope that come Wednesday, we are going to be better and much more competitive in our home”.
