Bartzokas: «It was a big win»

Giorgos Bartzokas gave credit to his team’s solid defensive game and the Sloukas’ winning shot that gave Olympiacos the win according to his assessment.

“It was a very interesting game, just like everyone had expected, with a high score. Both teams fought hard for the win and the game was decided in the details at the end, but also by the good defensive game we played in the last minutes of the game. And of course Kostas Sloukas’ winning shot. We did not play well tonight, especially in the offense. We weren’t shooting the ball well, we had very low percentages. We shot 28% with threes, we only made 6, despite most of them having been open ones. But we knew that if we could stay close in scoring, we would have a chance at winning at the end, just like it actually happened. Congratulations to the players. It was a big win. Here in Madrid it’s always hard. But we definitely need to put this result behind us, because we play one more demanding game on Friday”.
