Bartzokas: «It was a useful game»

Giorgos Bartzokas appeared to be satisfied by his team's performance against Lavrio but also from the fact that he was able to give minutes to players that usually don't get enough.

"It was a game for the Greek League where both coaches wanted to measure up a few things. I consider it to have been a useful game, especially for Lavrio, but for us also, because we have had the chance to give minutes to guys that usually don't get them. The fact that we dished 28 assists shows a kind of team work, and we also did not have to resort to overtly possessing the ball, which allowed for such a wide difference and the win. Let's leave it at that. I wish all the best to Lavrio".

On his part, the coach of Lavrio, Christos Serelis, stressed: "I don't think we can be too harsh on ourselves. It was an easy win for Olympiacos. We had wanted to see a few things in regard to our team and mainly how we could cope at a higher level and if we could be as tough and competitive as possible. Unfortunately, for yet another time, we weren't as tough as we should have been and neither as smart so as to use contacts and fouls in order to interrupt the opponent's rhythm. We obviously weren't expecting to succeed in that against Olympiacos in order to win the game, but we had thought of the game as a practice one in view of the following critical match ups for us. We stay at the disadvantage we have after the initial four games and move on".
