Black: «The tempo is going to be key to the game» (vid)

The loss to Monaco signaled the alarm call for Tarik Black and his team mates, who tomorrow (04/11, 20.00 CET) are called to return to the path of European success in the game against Valencia.

“It’s going to be a very good game” is what the American center said. “Valencia has been playing very well, they have some good wins. It’s a very important game for us, we shall have to be serious, execute well and play at a high level. We have one practice session ahead of us to work on it”.

Asked if he agrees with Giorgos Bartzokas that the tempo is going to be the key to the game, he replied: “First of all, I agree because the coach is an excellent one. He has been obviously doing this for many years and at the highest level and knows better. But, the tempo we play at always plays in important role in how we perform, so yes, it’s going to be very important”.

Finally, Tarik Black thinks that the loss to Monaco can give extra motivation to the ‘red & whites’: “All the Euroleague teams play well, there are many great teams and we had known from before that this was about to happen at some point. It was something like an alarm clock. We don’t like losing, however, a defeat can inspire you and push you to move forward. So we took this very seriously and got back right back at work”.
