Bartzokas: «We won easily thanks to our defense» (vid)

According to the Olympiacos’ coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, defense was the key to the comfortable victory against Partizan.

“It was a stressful game for us, on how we had to approach the game, given that we were coming from losing two home games. In everyone’s mind, this was a must win game. We finally got to win easily, mainly due to our defensive approach, especially in the second half. We were very solid in defense and fought for every possession, rebound and challenged ball. We have offensive talent, we have many players that can up the score. The only thing we need is to continue playing as a team, without selfishness”.

Partizan’s coach, Zeljiko Obradovic, commented: “I obviously have to congratulate Olympiacos on a game well played. We made a very bad start, without energy and aggressiveness and in the second quarter we started resembling a team ready to fight. All the rest are clear. I had told my players before the game, that when we would be going back to the locker rooms we should be feeling we gave all we had. But the feeling was not that”.
