Bartzokas: «We were serious»

Giorgos Bartzokas, appeared to be satisfied by his players’ serious approach to the game, following their win vs Kolossos.

“It was a game two days after the one we played in Munich and having returned yesterday afternoon, we did not have the chance to prepare it. But we were serious. We had two goals, to win and give minutes, which we achieved. Although there was no doubt about who the winner was going to be, we had to be serious with our approach and respect the opponent. This was the case and we are happy to have won. Now, we have the next two days to prepare the game against Maccabi, which is a very demanding one. I wish good luck to Kolossos with the remainder of the season”.

The coach of Kolossos, Ilias Papatheodorou, pointed out: “Congratulations to Olympiacos. They were very good for yet another game. Their difference in level compared to our team is very big. That had been clear. Especially after the first quarter, we were never able to follow the tempo neither in defense nor in offense. Olympiacos deserves a lot of credit for the basketball they’ve been playing both in Greece and in Europe. I would say that their playing style is enchanting and their approach to the game is a very good example for any team. We are going to try to focus to games that are more manageable to us and give our best. All the best to Olympiacos in Greece and in Europe”.
