Christos Pappas: «We did not match up Partizan’s energy and toughness»
Giorgos Bartzokas’ first ranking associate, Christos Pappas, who acted as the team’s head coach in his absence, made the following statement in regard to the loss in Belgrade…
“Congratulations to Partizan. They played a great game. They played with eagerness. We obviously failed to match up with our opponent’s physical game, we did not match their speed or their energy… Even during our first game, when the two teams were close, we were always a second behind. Also, it’s obvious that with 3/20 threes in a Euroleague game, it’s difficult to do something good, even if you have a very good percentage with your two-pointers. In any case, we have to move on. We still have games ahead and we are going to fight to secure home court advantage”.
