Bartzokas: «We must pay attention to Baskonia's particular style»

Olympiacos will be hosting Baskonia tomorrow (13/04, 20.00 CET) and will give it all to get the win that will give them first place of the Euroleague's regular season.

"Right now, Baskonia is in a very good shape", Olympiacos' coach, Giorgos Bartzokas got to stress. "In the last 5 - 6 games, they've been averaging 101 points, in both the Euroleague and the ACB. They rank first in the ACB, above Barcelona and Real, and I don't think that anyone believes this is going to be an easy game. They have some Euroleague newcomers on their roster that have made a big impression. However, the most important thing is that they are a team with everything depending on their rhythm. They play very up-tempo, they execute in the first seconds of the offense, and they do that very often and with many different players. They have different players in any given game that are capable of scoring 30 - 35 points... Enoch can score 25 points, Marinkovic 35... Players that average 6 o 8 points, can easily score 35 in any game due to the particular playing style of Baskonia". 

Asked if it's hard for his players to be 100% focused since they have achieved their goals, he replied: "It's going to be very interesting to see how we do tomorrow. We have tried really hard during practices and video analysis to emphasize the importance of the game, not so much for the game per se, but in regard to the time period we are at. Next week the Greek League playoffs begin, Euroleague's playoffs begin the week after that and as you can understand, we cannot press a button and be ready. We have to go to practice with great intensity, so we remain in shape for the next month also".
