Bartzokas: «Dedicated to Goss and his wife»
The Olympiacos’ coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, dedicated winning the Super Cup to Nigel Williams-Goss, who became a second time dad today (30/09).
“I would like to wish our team, that made the best possible start, to have an equally good season with the last one in terms of performance, wins and unity. We thank our fans who came here to support us. And of course, I would like to dedicate the title to Nigel Williams-Goss and his wife for their baby girl that they welcomed this noon. I wish them she has a lucky and happy life. Congratulations to the guys, we had a very remarkable first half. Panathinaikos had zero assists during that time. They only scored three buckets in the paint, and taking that as a starting point, we dominated the tame rather easily. Panathinaikos, that had not had much to lose, came stronger into the second half. We relaxed a little bit, looking also at the clock at the same time and committed 11 turnovers. But still, our win was an emphatic one. Congrats to the guys. Panathinaikos has a very good roster, a good coach and they are certain to play much better in the future”.
