Williams-Goss: «We must not let the atmosphere get to us»
Nigel Williams-Goss missed the chance to play in the first derby of the season between the ‘eternal’ rivals in Rhodes, since he had returned to Athens to be present for the birth of his daughter. However, tomorrow’s game (06/10, 20.15 CET) at the OAKA with Panathinaikos is not something new to him, since he has played such games in the past in his first tenure with Olympiacos.
“I think it’s going to be a different game compared to the Super Cup one”, the American guard said. “Obviously, Euroleague games are kind of different to the ones played for the National League or Cup tournaments. Also, when you win that big, the losing team will try to come into the game with more energy and effort”.
Asked about what it is the ‘red & whites’ need to be doing to leave the OAKA with a win, he replied: “I think we should not let the atmosphere get to us. We have to remain focused in what we want to do as a team, so that we give us a good chance at winning”.
