Bartzokas: «We fought to the end»

The coach of Olympiacos, Giorgos Bartzokas, congratulated his team despite the loss in Istanbul, not just for coming back from a 16p. deficit, but because everyone, even the injured Nikola Milutinov, gave it all to the end fighting for the win.  

“It was a close game at the end. Some critical decisions by both partied decided the winner. On our turn, we have had a very bad defensive performance in the first half. We adjusted and did what we really needed to do to return to the game. We had a chance to win at the end, but some decisions and perhaps missing a little luck, did not allow us to do that. First of all, I would like to congratulate Fenerbahce on the victory. But I would also like to congratulate my team for facing up to the challenge in the second half. We did not give up and played to the end to win. I would also like to give extra credit to Nikola Milutinov, who played while injured. He played although he was hurting a lot and that is something I sincerely appreciate”.
