Netzipoglou: «A childhood dream comes true»

Omiros Netzipoglou is offcially an Olympiacos players. The young guard, during his first ever statements as a 'red & white' for our team's official website, did not hide his enthousiasm about the new chapter in his career and talked about his goals as well as about what it is, in his opinion, that makes Olympiacos stand out.

For the 22-year old international guard, wearing the 'red & whites' jersey had been a childhood dream, as he said to Olympiacosbc.gr, when asked what this new chapter means to him. He also said to be anxious enough for the new season to begin. "A childhood dream comes true and I can't wait for the new season to beging", he pointed out. 

Asked what he thinks about his role on the team, he replie:  «What I want to do is to give my energy and do all I need to do to help the team».

About what made him say «yes» to Olympiacos' offer: «As soon as I heard the word "Olympiacos", I said "yes". It's just like I said before. It has been a life dream for me and it has come true».

Asked if there is anything that makes Olympiacos stand out for him from any other elite European team, he replied: «Definitely their DNA and what Olympiacos and coach Bartzokas have built through the years is something unique».

The young guard has signed a 4-year deal with the team. When asked to write the scenario of his own sporting life and where July 2029 should find him, he pointed out: «In health, able to continue my ride with Olympiacos and having had lots of success with the team».

Finally, sending a message to the Olympiacos fans, he said to be ready to give it all for the team:«I want to say that I can't wait to experience all of what I've been watching on TV, I'm ready to give my all to the team».
