Walkup on Virtus: «We must play with physicality»
Olympiacos is hosting Virtus Bologna for the 27th round of the EuroLeague and Thomas Walkup spoke to olympiacosbc.gr about the upcoming game.
Olympiacos' "Robocop" also commented on the game against Dubai and sent his message both to January's MVP, Sasha Vezenkov as well as to our fans that are expected to once again pack the SEF.
What went wrong with Dubai and you lost after five back-to-back EuroLeague wins?
"We did not stay true to our tactics against Dubai and that became apparent in the result. When we played as we should have, although that was for only 10 minutes in the game, we came close to winning the game".
What are the key elements of tomorrow's game that can give you the victory?
"If we play with physicality and go for the rebounds, then we are going to be excellent in defense. In offense, we simply have to move the ball with speed and the rest will follow".
What do you have to say to Sasha who just got the January MVP award for the EuroLeague?
"Sasha, you are the best player in Europe. Continue playing this way!".
