Kostas Papanikolaou is our all-time leading rebounder in Olympiacos' EuroLeague history
Kostas Papanikolaou wrote yet another golden chapter in Olympiacos’ EuroLeague history.
With his first rebound in the game against Fenerbahce, the 'red & whites' captain reached 1,364 rebounds and became the all-time leading rebounder in Olympiacos’ EuroLeague history, surpassing Giorgos Printezis, who had collected 1,363 rebounds during his own legendary career.
It is another major achievement for a true symbol of Olympiacos; a player who for years has been a point of reference both on and off the court, embodying consistency, self-sacrifice and a complete identification with the club’s values.
The quintet of the top rebounders in Olympiacos’ EuroLeague history also includes:
- Nikola Milutinov – 1,207
- Sasha Vezenkov – 1,159 (prior to the game against Fenerbahce)
- Mustapha Fall – 653
