Sasha Vezenkov is the all-time PIR leader in our EuroLeague history

Sasha Vezenkov wrote yet another golden chapter in his career with Olympiacos, as the 35-performance index rating (PIR) points he recorded in the EuroLeague game against Bayern brought him to a total of 3,661 PIR points with the Olympiacos' jersey, keeping him at the top of the club’s all-time list in the competition.

The Olympiacos forward surpassed Giorgos Printezis’ 3,632 PIR points and became the highest-rated player in the history of the 'red & whites' in the EuroLeague in terms of total performance index rating. Notably, Vezenkov reached this milestone having played 128 fewer games than the iconic Olympiacos captain.

In his 221 games wearing the 'Thrylos' (i.e. Olympiacos moniker meaning 'Legend') jersey, Sasha Vezenkov has been named MVP of the Round 16 times, MVP of the Month 4 times, EuroLeague MVP of the 2022–23 season, and MVP of the 2025 Playoffs.

The Olympiacos’ historic top five in EuroLeague PIR also includes:

  • Vassilis Spanoulis: 3251 PIR in 282 games
  • Kostas Papanikolaou: 3164 PIR in 384 games
  • Nikola Milutinov: 2930 PIR in 209 games
