«The Night Of The Legend» will always remain branded in our memory as the day that No 7 went up to the sky of a packed Peace and Friendship stadium.
In a unique ceremony that had it all… memories, laughter, joy, tears, emotions and VIP guests, Vassilis Spanoulis became the first ever player of Olympiacos that had the honor to watch his jersey hanging next to the club’s banners!
The event was presented by Spyros Papadopoulos, Dora Panteli and Petros Lagoutis, with V-Span being amongst the Presidents of Olympiacos BC, Panagiotis and Giorgos Angelopoulos, as well as the captains Giorgos Printezis and Kostas Papanikolaou.
Afterwards, there was a friendly game between our team and Emporio Armani, during which a lot of awards were presented. More specifically…
The Presidents of Olympiacos BC, Panagiotis and Giorgos Angelopoulos, presented the ‘red & whites’ center, Nikola Milutinov with an award, for winning the silver medal with the National team of Serbia in the recent Mundobasket in Manilla.
Emporio Armani Milan, represented by Kyle Hines and Christos Stavropoulos, presented an award to Vassilis Spanoulis.
Olympiacos BC presented the recently retired Luigi Datome, with an award for his contribution to the sport of basketball.
The President of Olympiacos BC, Giorgos Angelopoulos, gave Sasha Vezenkov the award of best ONE Team ambassador for the 2022-23 season.
The Olympiacos’ veterans honored Vassilis Spanoulis for his contribution to the team.
