Alec Peters, my other self
He first wore the 'red & white' jersey in the summer of 2022. In February 2024, he committed to wearing the uniform for two more years.
Alec Peters «strikes» from behind the 3-point line with great consistency and serves the team with his talents for three years now. So, we know him on the floor. But now, through «WeAreOlympiacos», we are going to learn about his alter ego...
- If you were a cartoon, which one would you be and why?
«Ummm... I don't think I was watching a lot of cartoons growing up. I don't know. Probably something like Batman or Superman, a superhero maybe. I thought that superheroes were amazing when I was growing up. So, yes. Between the two of them, probably the ability to fly would make me go for Superman». 
- If you were an animal, which one would you be and why?
«I think a lion. Lions are the kings of the jungle. They are smart. They are patient. They are aggressive, they can be 'bad'. I think I share a lot of those qualities».
- What would you do for a living, if you weren't a basketball player?
«In the past, I would say some other kind of professional athlete, but right now, I enjoy cooking a lot, so maybe a chef»!
- Do you like cooking at home? Trying different things?
«Yes. My wife and I cook a lot, we try new things, we try new things, new recipies. We alwasy try to infuse our inspiration in our dishes and meals. We love shopping at the grocery store. We love cooking».
- Village or city?
«Village. I grew up in a small town, so I prefer smaller communities».
- What kind of music do you like?
«Country music».
- Motorbike or car and which make?
«Definitely a car. Motorbikes are kind of dangerous... As for the make, Ford».
- Mountain or the beach?
«Mountain!».
- Do you believe in aliens?
«No».
- Do you believe in the zodiac?
«No».
- Do you believe in ghosts?
«No».
- If you could change something about you, what would it be and why?
«I don't know. I think I get very easily disappointed with little things and I wish I were more patient at times».
- If you could turn back time, would you change something about your life?
«If I could turn back time, maybe... I would have started having the kind of hairstyle I keep now, much - much earlier in my life (laughing)».
- Are you a momma's boy?
«My mom will probably kill me for saying that, but I don't think so».
- 3-pointer, rebounds or assists?
«3-pointer, definitely».
- A night out at the club or movie night at home?
«Movie night at home».
- What's your wildest basketball dream.
«My wildest basketball dream...I would really love to be playing on Christmas Day with an NBA team. That has always been my dream».
- Your wildest dream in general…
«My wildest dream in life is to have a house full of kids with my wife and live close to home. Enjoy family every day, enjoy one another».
- If you could only chose one song to listen to for the rest of your life, what would that be?
«Only one song for the rest of my life... I think it would be "Things I Take For Granted" by Larry Fleet. It's country music».
- Do you care about what people think?
«Not at all. Clearly».
-When others talk about you, what would you like them to say?
«To say that I'm someone who cares to doing things the right way. Anyway, that's the only thing I want to be doing».
-When people stop you in the street, to talk to you, do you feel uncomfortable?
«No, no, I don't mind at all».
-The strangest thing that has happened to you interacting with fans.
«I think when they draw something personal and give it to you, like a little girl giving me a Christmas card. It was something unexpected and I loved it»!
- If you could choose between being able to fly and being invisible, what would you choose?
«Flying, for sure».
- What do you love and what do you 'hate' about your job?
«I love basketball's everyday routine. Practicing, coming to the gym, the routine. I really love that and I can do it every single day. What I hate about it? I hate traveling. I don't like flying. It doesn't have to do with the games or with time or with the time lost on flights. I just don't like flying».
- When you are faced with a problem, do you cope alone or you turn for help to others?
«I will try to cope alone 99%. If I can't, then I will ask for help».
- If you were a painter, which colors would you use to paint your life's canvas?
«My favorite color is blue. Blue and orange».
- What's your biggest fear?
«I think the thought that my family might not be safe somehow. I always want to be sure my family is safe. My biggest fear is something happening to them».
-What do you think is the meaning of life?
«Life has to do with using the best of your abilities and skills to be the best version of yourself for others, yourself, your family, the people around you. And to bringing joy to the lives of others and spread that kind of love and kindness».
