Win over Armani and Olympiacos finishes 1st in the Regular Season

Olympiacos closed the Regular Season in ideal fashion, defeating Armani Milan 85 - 76 and officially finishing first in the standings with a 26 - 12 record.

Sasha Vezenkov was the top scorer for the 'red & whites', and is on track to become the league’s leading scorer, while Nikola Milutinov recorded an impressive double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds, essentially securing the top spot among the league’s rebounders.

Giorgos Bartzokas started the game with Walkup, Dorsey, Ward, Vezenkov, and Milutinov, and the strategy in the first quarter was clear. The team’s two big men were 'fed' excellently and scored 15 of the team’s 26 points in the opening period, while Tyler Dorsey once again had a “hot” start. The guard led all scorers after the first 10 minutes with 9 points, and Olympiacos took a 3p. lead (26 - 23), despite not having made a 3-pointer yet.

The first triple for Olympiacos came early in the second quarter from Cory Joseph, while Donta Hall was also impactful upon entering the game, scoring 6p. With 70 seconds left in the half, Moustapha Fall returned to the SEF after nearly 10 months and received a standing ovation from the entire arena. In fact, in his first possession, the French center passed an assist to Sasha Vezenkov, who reached double digits before halftime. The first half ended with Olympiacos leading by 2 (47 - 45) after a buzzer-beater by Tyler Dorsey.

In the second half, Olympiacos came out more focused and significantly raised their defensive intensity, leading to their first double-digit advantage. Nikola Milutinov dominated the rebounds, collecting 6 in the quarter and 11 overall, while Sasha Vezenkov scored 10 points in the third quarter to reach 20 personally.

Bartzokas’ team played impressive basketball late in the third and early in the fourth quarter, with Donta Hall confirming his excellent form by reaching 14 points with consecutive dunks.

However, a poor 3' stretch allowed the lead to drop from 17 points (79 - 62) to 8 (79 - 71), as Shavon Shields punished every Olympiacos mistake from beyond the arc.

The final minutes were procedural, with Olympiacos ultimately securing the 85 - 76 victory and closing the EuroLeague Regular Season in perfect fashion.

The quarters: 26–23, 47–45, 68–55, 85–76.
