Monte Morris, also known as Big Game Tae -the nickname he earned because of his clutch performances- signed with Olympiacos on December 10, aiming to provide the team with what it had been missing in terms of playmaking and organization
The American guard, who boasts a long NBA career (Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, Detroit Pistons, Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns, Indiana Pacers), was unfortunate, as nearly a month later -specifically on January 9, 2026- he suffered a rupture of the anterior portion of the lateral collateral ligament in his left ankle during the game against Bayern, sidelining him for a significant period of time.
Nevertheless, he is working hard and will soon be back under the guidance of head coach Giorgos Bartzokas.
